Unlock your artistic ability in an activity that pays homage to Barcelona’s favorite son, Antoni Gaudí. A famous architect who gave Barcelona its biggest landmarks, Gaudí’s creations became emblems of the city. Today we can still see original examples of Gaudí's handiwork in some Barcelona landmarks: Park Güell, the Casa Batlló, La Pedrera and the Sagrada Família.
Our activity pulls inspiration from Gaudí’s pieces to make our own “trencadís” or mosaics. Trencadís is the technique used for this type of mosaic made with irregular shards of pottery, marble or glass that was wide spread in modernista architecture.
This artistic and innovative workshop is designed to enhance motivation, communication and collaboration within the company.
We will begin by smashing coloured tiles into shards, which we will then use to create a large mosaic—working, of course, as a team.
Before you start creating, we will explain a bit about both the process and the history of the method, and make suggestions on achieving the best effect. We can also suggest a theme for your masterpiece, whether it’s your company slogan or a personal motto.
